The feels – kilig hanggang langit. Sorry na, wala kasi akong life, ito lang ang inspiration ko. Haha! Pero in fairness, super kilig ang pair ni Bong-soon and Min-min. It’s not the OTP pero I can forgive the transference of emotions to Min-min from Gook-du. This is the first alpha heroine drama I watched and I loved it! It’s a rom-com with a bit of dark criminal elements. Despite the loop holes in the storyline, ito yung tipong mapapa-smile ka at the end.
Okay so basically, I watched this before I watched Hwarang. Ongoing pa siya that time which is why I was able to finish Hwarang before this ended. Ang guapo ni Park Hyung-sik plus he gave the character his best. Ang cute niya tingnan pag kinikilig siya coz of Bong-soon. On a serious note, the writers did not fully develop that part about his family and his trauma.
Cute din naman si Bong-soon pero minsan hindi ko gets yung personality niya. Like when she met the killer when he tried to kidnap her friend, she should have killed that guy right there and then. I mean I would. Haha! She can be stubborn too and it’s not very typical for a Korean. But at the end of the drama, I did not feel satisfied about the origin of their family’s powers. And the ending, I don’t feel right about her leaving Min-min with the kids while she went saving the rest of the world. Oh well.
Gook-du, so stupid for not realizing Bong-soon was in love with him for such a long time. But it does make sense that he did not notice it because he was too focused on his feelings for her. The world is one complicated place even in dramas. Haha. Ji Soo was amazing here in portraying Gook-du’s character. I only saw him in Doctors. The end was realistic for him too.
As for the rest of the cast, they were fun although some of them were actually left open like what happened to the monk. But then, despite the uneven pacing of the drama, it was a good one. It lifted my spirits. Haha. So yes, please go ahead and watch this one!
